1) Apologies for Absence
Apologies were received from Councillors Mrs F. Jackson.
2) Declarations of Interest, Gift and Hospitality
Cllr Beer declared that he is a Suffolk County Councillor, Babergh District Councillor and Sudbury Town Councillor. Cllr Mrs Todd declared that she is a Babergh District Councillor. Cllr J.R.A. Sayers declared that he is a Babergh District Councillor and a Sudbury Town Councillor. Cllr Walton declared that he is a Babergh District Councillor and a Sudbury Town Councillor. Cllr M. Newman declared that he is a Babergh District Councillor. These members also asked that it be noted that their views expressed at this meeting would be based on information available at the time and might not be the same as those expressed at meetings involving other councils.
Cllr J.R.A. Sayers declared a personal interest in Item 3b. Cllr D. Walton declared prejudicial interest in Item 3e.
3) New Planning Applications
a) B/07/01843/FHA/AS – 104A Pot kiln Road
Erection of a detached single garage (existing garage to be demolished)
Recommend – APPROVAL
b) B/07/01858/FHA/BHW – Millbrook 180 Bures Road
Conversion & Extension of existing detached double garage (including provision of a first-floor extension) to provide ground floor gym, sauna and store with ancillary living accommodation over.
There does not appear to be any “detached double garage” shown on the plan, which is to be demolished. We regret, therefore, that we are unable to comment.
c) B/07/01928/FHA/AS – 26 Canhams Road
Erection of a rear conservatory
Recommend - APPROVAL
d) B/07/01955/FHA/BHW – 7 Wells Hall Road
Erection of a two storey side extension. Insertion of 2 dormer windows.
Recommend - APPROVAL
e) B/07/01891/CDP/MB –Great Cornard Upper School
Application under Regulation 3 of the Town & Country Planning Regulations 1992 Erection of a single-storey building; alterations to existing car park; pedestrian access created from Head Lane to the proposed building.
We note that the proposed vehicular access is onto Wells Hall Road, rather than Head Lane.
We recommend APPROVAL but with the added recommendation that a 20 mph speed limit (20’s Plenty scheme) is imposed outside the school.
f) B/07/01897/FHA/AS – 12 Oxford Close
Erection of single-storey side extension and single-storey rear extension
Recommend - APPROVAL
