1)      Apologies for Absence

         Apologies were received from Cllr Mrs C.J.Webb.         

2)      Declarations of Interest, Gifts or Hospitality

        Cllrs Mrs C.Todd, J.R.A.Sayers, D.M.Walton and M.Newman declared that they are

        Babergh District Councillors. Cllr D.M.Walton and J.R.A. Sayers declared that they are

        Sudbury Town Councillors. 

        These members also asked that it be noted that their views expressed at this meeting  

        would be based on information available at the time and might not be the same as

        those expressed at meetings involving other councils.       

3)      Confirmation of the Minutes of the Meeting on 12 & 26^th January 2009

The Minutes having been ratified by full council for the meetings of 12^th & 26th January 2009, were duly signed by the Chairman.   

4)      Chairman’s Announcements       

         The Chairman drew attention to a new copy of the calendar of meetings for 2008/9

         which now showed a meeting of the Council on Wednesday 15^th April as Monday

         13^th April is Easter Monday.   

5)      Items Brought Forward

         a.  Broom Street Development – Road Surfacing

         Nothing to report

         b.  Road Safety Working Party

         Minutes of the meeting on Tuesday 17^th February were circulated to members who

           discussed in detail all the items raised by the Working Party. A number of points were raised which the Council Manager will be able ton include in his submissions to the County Council.   

       c. Parking along Shawlands Avenue

       Now covered by the Road Safety Working Party.  

       d. North Cornard Regeneration Group

       The only work which had, so far, been done at the Poplar Road site was the laying of

        telephone cables.         

6)    To reveiw the list of suggested street names

       The names currently on the list were reviewed by members. If any Councillor has further

       Suggestions, they should communicate them to the Council Manager.  

7)   New Planning Applications

i)     B/09/0050/FHA – Grassmere Cottage, Joes Road   

Erection of a detached 11/2 storey double bay cartlodge with additional living

accommodation, as amended by plans received 4^th February 2009 and 13^th February

2009. 

Recommend – APPROVAL

ii)   B/09/00100/FHA – 1 Joes Road   

Erection of two-storey side extension (following demolition of existing single storey

extension) Erection of single-storey rear extension and erection of replacement garage.

Recommend - APPROVAL
