1) Apologies for Absence

2) Declarations of Interest
Cllr.J.R.A.Sayers declared a personal interest with regards to his membership
of Babergh District Council and Sudbury Town Council.
3) New Planning Application
i) B/06/00990/FHA/GP – 2 Lionel Hurst Close
Erection of two-storey front extension.
Recommended – APPROVAL
ii) B/06/01001/FHA/GP – 42 Pot Kiln Road
Erection of single-storey rear extension and front porch (existing single garage
to be demolished), increase in roof height to provide first floor
accommodation.
Recommended – APPROVAL for Scheme 2, as long as the roof is no higher
than No. 40
iii) B/06/01002/FHA/GP – 94 Bures Road
Erection of front porch canopy and single-storey front extension.
Recommended – APPROVAL
iv) B/06/1003/FHA/GP – 92 Bures Road
Erection of front porch; insertion of rear dormer in connection with conversion
of loft to form additional living accommodation.
Recommended – APPROVAL
v) B06/01005/OUT/GP – Part rear garden of 41, Canhams Road
Cllr.C.A.Beer-Todd declared a personal interest.
Outline – Erection of bungalow and detached single garage
Recommended – REFUSAL
i) Over Development of the site.
ii) This Council is opposed to back land development.
vi) B/06/01024/FHA/DB – Lawn House, Upper Tye
Construction of vehicular access
Recommended – APPROVAL providing a site visit takes place in conjunction
with the Highways Agency to assess the best possible position for the new
access.
vii) B/06/00075/FHA/RM – 13 Oak Road
Retention of front porch.
Recommended – APPROVAL
4) Parking of vehicles on roadway verges
Cllr Sayers advised that a number of vehicles were regularly parking on the grass
verges along Shawlands Avenue. The Council Manager advised that after some
investigation it had been established that SCC Highways owned 1.8m from the
mettaled road.
AGREED the Council Manager to write to SCC Highways, SCC Head of Amenities
and BDC, requesting a proposal as to what action could be taken to stop this
happening.
