Minutes of the meeting of the Development and Planning Committee

held in The Stevenson Centre on Monday 24th July 2006

1)        Apologies for Absence

           Apologies were received from Councillors Mrs.C.A.Beer-Todd. 

 

2)       Declarations of Interest, Gifts or Hospitality

          Cllr.J.R.A.Sayers declared a personal interest with regards to his

          membership of Sudbury Town Council and Babergh District Council.

                         

3)       Correspondence

 

a)     Suffolk County Council: Draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan Consultation

AGREED the Council Manager to respond, stating that the Council has looked at the Plan in detail and have no comments to make.

 

b)     Suffolk Constabulary: Parking enforcement in Great Cornard

AGREED to respond suggesting three areas to initially concentrate on; Shawlands Avenue, Broom Street and the Junction of

Stannard Way onto Bures Road.

 

4)       New Planning Applications

 

           i)     B/06/01141/FHA/RM – 15 Danes Court   

            Erection of a rear conservatory

            Recommended – APPROVAL

 

     ii)    B/06/01160/FHA/RM – 36 Lionel Hurst Close  

            Erection of single-storey rear extension

            Recommended – APPROVAL          

  

5)         Items Brought Forward

 

i)        North Cornard Regeneration Group

Cllr M.Fryer declared a personal interest, as a close relative is a resident of Butt Road.

     Residents in the area of Clibbon House have raised their concerns over

     the lack of information made available to them on the re-development of

     the site. AGREED the Council Manager to write to Helen Shackleton at

     BDC, requesting that BDC write or leaflet drop local residents to advise

     them of the plans for the site.
