2)        Declarations of Interest  

           Cllr.J.R.A.Sayers declared a personal interest with regards to his membership

           of Babergh District Council and Sudbury Town Council.

i)   B/06/01696/FHA/GP – 36 Canhams Road 

     Erection of single-storey rear extension

     Recommended – APPROVAL          

 

4)         New Planning Applications

 

i)   B/06/01450/RES/DB – Land Adjacent Maldon Grey and Land Opposite 63

          To 69, Cats Lane

           Submission of details under O.P.P. B/00/01751/OUT – AMENDMENT

           Comments:-

           The Parish Council prefers the tubular bowtop metal railing for the Cats Lane

           frontage.

            The example cycle stores are visually unattractive; preference would be for

           traditional racks.

            The Council also, raised concerns for cyclists using the exit onto Cats Lane and

           re-emphasised the need for cycle lanes.

           Erection of a Orangery

           Recommended – Refusal 

            a)            Oversized and on a scale beyond normal domestic usage. 

 

    iii)   B06/01792/FHA/RM -  57 Sheepshead Hill

           Erection of a conservatory

           Recommended – APPROVAL

           

iv)    B06/01780/FUL/AT – Cornard Christian Fellowship, Church Hall,

       Broom Street

        Continued siting of 2 inter-linked portable buildings for children’s teaching

       for further five years

        Recommended – APPROVAL

        The Council suggests that some planting take place to soften the appearance of

       the buildings from the outside.

 

    v)    B/06/01771/FHA/RM – Erection of a rear conservatory            

            Erection of a rear conservatory

            Recommended – APPROVAL

 

    vi)  B06/01632/FHA/RM – 3 Horse Pond Close

            Conversion of garage into additional living accommodation. Erection of front

           porch and detached garage.

            Recommended – APPROVAL

 

    vii)   B/06/01735/LBC/MC – 120-122 Bures Road

            Application for Listed Building Consent – External decoration

            Recommended – APPROVAL

 

     viii)  B/06/01695/FHA/AT – 61 Cats Lane

            Erection of front boundary fence

            Recommended – Approval

 

Planning applications contrary to the council’s decision

 

       i) B/06/01349/FUL/GP – Clibbon House

          APPROVED

 

The Council Manager reported that the advertisement display opposite the Limes

does breach Planning controls and that an invitation to submit an application for advertisement consent have been made. AGREED the Council Manager to write to the Planning Officer requesting that the sign be taken down until such consent has been given.
