1. Apologies for Absence
Apologies were received from ClIrs M.Fryer, J.R.A.Sayers and R.Sims.
2. Declaration of Interests, Gifts and Hospitality
Cllr.P.K.Beer declared a personal interest with regards to his membership of Sudbury Town Council, Babergh District Council and Suffolk County Council.
ClIr. H. N.Todd declared a personal interest with regards to his membership of Babergh District Council.
Cllr.Mrs.F.A.Jackson declared a personal interest in Item 7, as Cllr.Mrs.Jackson is a patient at the Walnuttree Hospital.
3. Chairman's Address
Both the Chairman and Vice Chairman attended the Sudbury Fun Run on Good Friday. The event was well organised, with a record number of runners and walkers taking part.
Members attended the open day of the Great Cornard Bowls Club on the 22nd March 2007 and had an opportunity to view the new fencing.
The Chairman stated that that this was the last meeting of the Council prior to the Elections. He acknowledged the contribution in particular Cllr.D.C.Allen and M.Fryer over the past four years, as both members were not standing for re-election.
4. To Confirm Minutes of the Meeting of the Council held on 12th March 2007
RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Council meeting held on 12th March 2007 be confirmed and signed as a true record.
5. To Confirm Committee Meeting on Wednesday 30th May 2007
ClIr. P.K. Beer advised, that due to the recent Bank Holiday, there would be no committee meetings for 3 months and therefore proposed that a committee meeting take place on Wednesday 30th May. RESOLVED
NOTED that neither the Council Manager or Clerical Assistant would be available to take the minutes.
6. Police Beat Officers Report
The report covers the period from the 6th March 2007 through to the ~ 7th April 2007. NOTED
7. Items Brought Forward
a) Walnuttree Hospital: threatened closure
Cllr.Mrs.F.A.Jackson advised that the referral was now with the Secretary of Health.
b) Amenity land at Bakers Mill
To be chased.

Item 7 b) Grant for Play Equipment on the Hedgerows
The Council Manager confirmed that BDC have awarded the Parish Council 7.5k towards this project and that the various schemes submitted would be presented to the Council at a forthcoming meeting.
