1) Apologies and Substitutions
Apologies were received from Councillors R.R.Sims and D.R.G.Thomas.
2) Declarations of Interest, Gifts or Hospitality
Cllr.P.K.Beer declared a Personal Interest with regards to his membership of Sudbury Town Council, Babergh District Council and Suffolk County Council.
Cllr.Mrs.C.A.Todd declared a Personal Interest with regards to her membership of Babergh District Council.
Cllr.M.D.Newman declared a Personal Interest with regards to his membership of Babergh District Council.
3) Chairmans Announcements
The Chairman welcomed all members and stated that he was looking forward to working together over the next four years.
4) Correspondence
a. Resident of Lionel Hurst Close: Dog Fouling on Hedgerows Green
AGREED the Council Manager to organise the placement of a number of
‘dog fouling’ notices around the Green.
5) Report on Meeting with Sudbury RFC on 16th May 2007
RESOLVED to recommend to full Council the recommendations of the report.
6) To consider a request for a Litter/Dog Bins
RESOLVED to recommend to full Council the purchase of two litter bins and one dog bin, to be placed along Abbas Walk, at an estimated cost of £600 plus annual emptying charge.
7) Parish Cup
AGREED that the Parish Cup be run under the auspices of the Parish Council. Cllr.M.Newman will organise a team to run the event and will report back to this Committee.
8) Cornard Dynamos: Lease of Pavilion
AGREED all new members of the Council to be sent a copy of the Agreement.
9) Play Areas
AGREED all members to visit the site prior to the next meeting, as well as visit the Council Office to view the proposed schemes in more detail.
10) Adventure Assault Course
RESOLVED to recommend to full Council the proposal to install an Adventure Assault Course on the Country Park and for the Council Manager to go ahead and start researching the project.
