2nd Great Cornard Brownies

Two Guiders, who have been involved in the movement for over 20 years, currently run the 2nd Great Cornard Brownies. We meet every Monday evening in Great Cornard but only during term-time. All girls between the ages of 7 and 10 years are welcome and our programme is planned to be educational in both a safe, fun & friendly environment, using the indoors & outdoors.

We aim to develop all areas of learning and the girls are encouraged to respect other people's beliefs, cultures, & property through our theme-evenings. We play lots of games & have access to a parachute helping to strengthen the girls’ physical development & assisting them in working as a team.

The programme also includes craft, cooking, and musical activities to help develop their creative thinking.

We encourage the girls to work as individuals and in smaller groups to earn badges both during the Brownie meetings & in their own time. We also have planned day trips out as a Unit & also with other Units in the district. To book a place for further details please phone 07765 554342.

For other local information please contact the District Commissioner for the Cornard Area, Toni Ellis on 07973 913 509.
